Right View Timber Sale
Roseburg BLM continues to log unstable slopes

The landslides seen in the first three pictures started in unit 1, and continued through unit 3, and on down into tributaries of the Wild and Scenic portion of the North Umpqua River.

Note person standing in middle of road.
Unit 1 was above the road and unit 2 was below the road.
Most of the top soil in the units is now in the creeks.
Below is a picture looking downhill at the slide.

Other Pictures of Right View,
once a magnificent old-growth public forest.

Below: Unit 3, permanently deforested with compacted soil.
Two people in clearcut are circled.

It was 250 years old.
