What is the Umpqua Brew Festival?
It’s an autumn celebration of clean water, craft beer, and sustainable living in the hundred valleys of the Umpqua. In other words, “It’s all about the water.”

So, is the UBF Roseburg’s version of Octoberfest?
No, it’s is a tasting event, not a drinking one. We insist on quality, not quantity by craft beer appreciation, not alcohol consumption. ”Drink less, drink the best.”

Where is it?
Douglas Hall at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Roseburg, OR.

What kind of beer will be at the festival?
Craft beer from Oregon, the Pacific Northwest, and beyond. Whether it’s the breweries’ flagship, seasonal, speciality, or surprise beers, we’ll have a variety of styles for every taste.

Which beers will be on tap?
As they come on board, the list of participating breweries is updated on the website. The finalized beer list is printed in the event program.

What about wine?
It’s a brew fest, but yes, wine will be available for those who prefer fermented grapes more than
fermented barley.

Besides craft beer tasting, what else will be going on?
Festival goers will also enjoy beer-friendly food and live music. Umpqua Watersheds, the event host and other organizations, such as the Umpqua Valley Home Brewers’ Guild and Women Enjoying Beer, will have booths to provide information.

What else will be for sale?
Umpqua Brew Fest T-shirts.

How much does it cost to get in?
In order to consume beer you must be 21 or over and purchase an Umpqua Brew Fest glass and tickets for $10.

How much are additional tickets?
* $1 apiece.
* Ticket are non-refundable.

How much is the beer?
A half glass taste is one ticket and a full glass is two tickets

Can glasses or beer tickets or tokens from previous years be used?
No, you must use this year’s Umpqua Brew Fest glass and tickets.

What happens when you blow a keg?
Sad to say, when it’s gone, it’s gone, but a bell will ring to acknowledge the popularity of the beer, to recognize the brewery which donated the keg, and to thank the participants for supporting Umpqua Watersheds.

When do the taps shut down?
Ticket sales end at 10:00 p.m. No beer will be served after 10:30 p.m.

What identification is required to be admitted?
Everyone who enters the festival must have one of the following forms of identification to prove
that they are at least 21 years of age:
* A valid driver's license with a photo from any state
* A current passport
* A DMV identification card
* A military card
* The state identification card and military card must bear a picture of the person, the person's name, address, date of birth, a physical description, and signature.

What identification is required to be served beer?
* You must be wearing an age ID wristband and use the Umpqua Brew Fest glass and tickets to make beer purchases.
* No Age Wristband = No Beer
* Have valid ID available, if requested by a server.

Are credit cards or checks accepted?
No, this is a cash only event. An ATM machine is available in the lobby of Douglas Hall by the ticket sales booth.

What about the big game?
This is the 21st century--use the free Wi-Fi to check the score

Can I bring my child and dog?
No, please leave your children and pets at home.

Is smoking allowed?
No, not inside Douglas Hall. If you must smoke, please use the designated area outside.

What is being done to promote safety at the Umpqua Brew Fest?
Individual responsibility is the key to a fun and friendly event for everyone, so please consume alcohol in moderation, take food breaks, and drink plenty of water or non-alcoholic beverages. We all want to get home safely, so for those who have not arranged for a designated driver, free taxi service is provided.

Who benefits from the festival?
Our local ecosystem benefits because the UBF is a fundraiser for Umpqua Watersheds, a non-profit conservation organization.

Do you need volunteers?
Yes! We can always use volunteers. “It takes a village to raise a brew.”

What about sponsors?
We’re always looking for support, whether from businesses, organizations, or breweries. Have
your people call our people.
