Tiller Ranger District

The Tiller Ranger District is the southern part of the Umpqua National Forest. The South Umpqua River is its main watershed. Jackson Creek, Elk Creek, and Cow Creek are some of the South Umpqua's main tributaries in the Tiller District. Tiller has been so heavily logged in the past, the steelhead have gone extinct, and the Umpqua Cutthroat Trout are almost all gone. Tiller hosts more cows than any other place in the Umpqua to add to the water problems. Below is a sample of some of Tiller's recent projects.
